Sculpture with Tina Hill-Art
This 2-day workshop is led by sculptural ceramicist Tina Hill-Art of Shaldon Pottery Studio. Tina is an experienced workshop facilitator with a passion for sharing a creative engagement with clay.
Cost: £250 pp
Dates: TBC
Duration: 2 days
Sat 23 Mar: Learn key hand building techniques of coiling, pinching, making slabs with clay and how to join pieces.
Sun 24 Mar: Continue to build and refine your sculpture. Explore and investigate the role of oxides in the finis of your work.
At the end of the weekend, your piece will remain in the studio to dry completely, then be fired for it's first firing.
Your sculpture may be figurative, human or animal, or abstract in nature, but do be open to both the clay and your creative mind deciding where it will end up!
Weekend workshops include lunch provided by Sally Bowry of Eat, Enjoy, Evolve. You will be served delicious wholefood plant-based dishes abounding in local, seasonal, organic vegetables.
